What is raw denim?

Raw denim is denim that has not been washed or treated after dyeing. It is sold stiff and dark indigo, then softens and fades to your body over months of wear. Japanese raw denim is widely regarded as the finest in the world.

How do I size Japanese denim?

Most Japanese denim brands run one to two sizes smaller than American brands. For example, if you wear a 32 in Levi's, size up to a 33 or 34 in Iron Heart or Momotaro.

Yes. We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unworn, unwashed items in original condition. Raw denim should not be washed before returning.
